It's now a few days later and everyone seems to be settling in well. Both Jack and Benny are now signed up for obedience classes for january. Jack on Mondays and Benny on Wednesday.
Jack is turing out to be a smart boy. I received his paperwork/shots info yesterday and turns out that the Brooklyn Shelter found him as a stray and listed him at 4 years of age. They found him to be fearful and shy and unapproachable. Very different to who he is today. Turn out he knows hand signals for his commands; sit, stay and down are the ones I have figured out so far. Will do a bit more research on hand commands to see if he knows any more. Quite an impressive guy. He is very sensitive and likes calm. Ellie and Benny were playing the other day and Benny fell off the couch on to Jack while he was sleeping. Scared poor Jack and Benny! Jack jumped up and yelped and Benny ran for the hills! Play time was over needless to say. He never snapped or was aggressive towards Benny, just very very surprised!
Here are a few funny shots from this week:
Twins!
Where's Jack - can you find him in the photo? (Hint; he's behind the bird feeder)
Handsome Jack - I spy a few grey hairs!
Goofy Benny - some days he likes to approach his food from above...
